ingredients
  • 3 1/2 oz. beef, loin cut
  • 1 cup fresh snow peas
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 tsp. canola oil
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. teriyaki sauce
  • 1/3 Tbsp. sesame seeds
preparation
  1. Prepare rice according to recipe directions, omitting salt.
  2. Slice beef into half-inch strips on a separate cutting board.
  3. Chop green onion; core, seed and slice pepper into strips; mince garlic, set aside.
  4. Wash and trim snow peas, set aside.
  5. In a nonstick skillet, heat oil on low-medium heat and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes, until golden.
  6. Raise heat to medium and add beef: stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, add vegetables and teriyaki sauce and stir-fry about 5-6 minutes, until vegetables are tender, but still crisp.
  7. Serve over rice with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
