Grilled Chicken With Creamy Herb Sauce

ingredients
  • 4 Chicken breasts

* Cooking Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sour cream or plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp Brown mustard
  • 1/3 cup Minced green onion
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lemon (or lime) juice
  • 2 tsp Dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper (or less)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

* Also, make a sauce for the table using a small amount of cooking sauce - 3 tablespoons approximately - mixed with 1 tablespoon sour cream or yogurt and 1/2 teaspoon paprika.

preparation
  1. Grill the chicken over a moderately hot fire for 5 to 10 minutes, turning every 3 minutes or so.
  2. Coat chicken with remainder of cooking sauce.
  3. Serve with the table sauce.
  4. Serves 4.

 

WASH HANDS, UTENSILS, SINK AND EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH RAW CHICKEN. Sanitize the counter, sinks and any containers or trays that have been used. Use a solution of 1 teaspoon of unscented chlorine bleach in 1 quart of water, and let dry completely.
