TERIYAKI CHICKEN

ingredients
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seed oil
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup sweet sake (MIRIN)
  • 2 green onions finely chopped

preparation
Combine all the ingredients until it becomes consistent.

Soak the chicken overnight in this sauce.

In the morning, with the remainder of the sauce, add cornstarch and cook until pasty.

Use this as BBQ sauce for grilling.

 

WASH HANDS, UTENSILS, SINK AND EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH RAW CHICKEN. Sanitize the counter, sinks and any containers or trays that have been used. Use a solution of 1 teaspoon of unscented chlorine bleach in 1 quart of water, and let dry completely.
Practice Food Safety and reduce the possibility of food contamination and illness.
