MOMS BEST BUTTER TARTS
- prepared pastry
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1-1/2 cups raisins and nuts mixed
- Beat eggs until whites and yolks are blended.
- Beat in sugar, add vinegar and vanilla.
- Stir in melted butter.
- Add raisin mixture.
- Butter the tart tins generously before lining tins with pastry.
- Fill 1/2 - 2/3 with raisin mixture.
- Bake in a hot oven 375°F until filling is firm - about 15 minutes.
- Yield about 24 tarts.
